Men Love Models.

i know, it's an obvious concept. not really even a concept, just a known.

but a couple weeks ago when i shot this fun event for RDubs, it sort of hit me as a surprise. maybe it's because i'm not around models very often, ha!

men seem to feel immediately 'more important', hold their chests higher, because models are within a short distance/at the same event. they smile wider out of pure joy that beautiful official models are walking around them...

even if they don't ever make eye contact or say hello, their self importance has seemingly heightened.

this is nothing against men, i do love men! i just forget sometimes how much weight 'american beauty' holds...(no pun intended) or any external beauty for that matter.

overall i had a great time, met some really nice people, made connects...got to be the voyeur that i love to be...

and went home to create.

i popped into the farmers market at tompkins square park on sunday...and boy oh boy did the fresh fall goodies inspire me.

inspired me enough to do a meal dedicated to leaf peeping!
and so i began...

with the help of a dog named bleu.

hooray-ski! a meal to provide multiple healthy meals!

leaf peeping via veggies is fun.

Leaf Peep 2009!

so my original plan for 'Leaf Peep 2009' was to take the amtrak up along the beautiful hudson to poughkeepsie and work my lil way back down...all the time holding a fond admiration for seasonal change & the glory of color range in nature. the plan was foiled. so i turned to the streets of new york city to attend to my desires:

one of these years i'll make it happen!

for 2009, my ooo's and ahhh's will be drowned out by car horns & police sirens. alas, my eyes fulfilled.

besides the mobs of people playing bumper cars with their grocery carts, i had an extremely pleasant, delightfully overwhelming time.

Last night I rode over to the Brooklynite Gallery in Bed Stuy for the 'Peru Ana Ana Peru' opening. I've been meaning to check out this gallery for a couple months now and finally made my way!

the show was hoppin & the music was jammin...people definitely having a grand ol time.

I've seen the 'Peru Ana Ana Peru' stickers all over Brooklyn for the last 4 years so it was great to see the work this duo created....which entailed video, collage, painting, ballpoint pen...all wrapped into many vibrantly detailed, wonderfully layered pieces.
